Lawn Aeration & Overseeding
For years, golf course superintendents have known aeration to be a key to having the healthiest turf. Aeration breaks up soil compaction and thatch that can choke your lawn and prevent it from reaching its full potential. We recommend aerating and overseeding your yard every year to get the most out of it.
Unlike some aerators that only poke holes into the ground, we pull 2-3″ dirt plugs in order to truly break up the thatch and compaction. After we aerate the lawn, your lawn technician will then spread a high quality seed mix that will introduce better disease and insect resistant grass types to your lawn. Depending on whether you have a yard in the shade or sun, our technician will choose the right seed mixture that will thrive best in your lawn’s unique environment.
Some benefits of aerating and overseeding:
Controls harmful thatch
Increases root development
Introduces a variety of high quality disease resistant grass seed
Improves overall plant health
Increases water retention
